The Global Review Index showed greater overall satisfaction with the Greek islands of Mykonos and Santorini than Ibiza, Sardinia or St. Tropez during the first seven months of the year. The figures were released by the Association of Greek Tourism Enterprises (SETE) and specifically show that Mykonos and Santorini recorded the high percentages of 87.6% and 87.8%, respectively, in the general index of satisfaction of tourists during the January-July 2014 period, ahead of Ibiza (80.4%), Sardinia (82.5%) and St. Tropez (83.1%).

In terms of value, Mykonos and Santorini were rated at 86.1% and 84.2% respectively, ahead of Ibiza (80.5%) and Sardinia (80.3%) and St. Tropez (79%). Satisfaction in these areas was over 90%, way ahead of its competitors.

On the downside for Greece was the fact that Istanbul was ahead of Athens in regard to customer satisfaction from January-July 2014. The Greek capital had an 81%-level of satisfaction along with Barcelona. It stood ahead of Rome (79.7%) but was outdone by Istanbul 82.4%.
