Daily Mail: Praising Sithonia, Halkidiki;s middle finger (see photos)

Vast golden beaches as far as the eye can see ensure that Sithonia isn't crammed and a great location for family holidays

Newsroom August 29 01:19

The Daily Mail focused on Halkidiki’s middle finger in an article titled “Greece, glorious Greece: Finding family holiday heaven on Halkidiki’s ‘middle finger”. The middle finger, according to the article, is Sithonia, best for a romantic break or couples with children. It is the finger that sits between the bustling Cassandra and the monastic Mt. Athos.

“The long, shallow, golden sand beach stretches out into the cool, blue Aegean,” writes Jack Doyle. He speaks of “immaculately clear” waters and of how the water is shallow as far as 30 meters out from the shore.

He praises the area where development has been limited, a foil for the other crammed tourist hotspots.
