Dorothy King “trolls” Kim Kardashian

Following the Metropolitan Museum's example

Newsroom November 17 04:44

In a caustic comment on her Twitter, archaeologist Dorothy King comments on Kim Kardashian’s recent nude photoshoot which went viral on the web.

“Aphrodite Kallipygos. Sorry Kim Kardashian, but once again the Greeks did it first – and better”.

She accompanied her tweet with a photo of a Roman copy of Aphrodite Kallipygos, one of the “sexiest” statues of antiquity.

“Archaeology can be fun”, wrote Dorothy King on her blog, in a post on the topic explaining the statue: “This is a roman copy of Aphrodite Kallipygos, dated at 300 B.C.”.
