Skint Grainne, aged 26, couldn’t afford to fly to her step-sister Charmaine Brenyah’s wedding on the isle of Kefalonia in June so she’s cycling over the Alps to get there. She mapped out a route from Cardiff to Newhaven for a cross-channel ferry and then through France, Switzerland, Italy and finally Greece. She has already cycled to 1,100 miles from Land’s End to John O’Groats. She’ll camp out and may go to a hostel once a week.
