Simos Beach on the south of Elafonissos in the extreme south of the Peloponnese, across from the isle of Kythera, is considered to be one of the best beaches of Greece. Visitors actually get to enjoy two beaches in one… Megalos (Large) Simos and Mikros (Small) Simos that are divided by a narrow stretch of white sand.

The turquoise waters and sand dunes give the area a Carribean feel.

The organized beaches have sunbeds and umbrellas as well as beach bars near by. That, as well as the fact that the beach is easily accessible by car, means that the beach can get quite crowded due to high season.
