The historian and broadcaster Mary Beard reveals 10 of her favourite classical sites commenting “it’s always exciting to follow, literally, in the footsteps of the ancient Romans – or of the Greeks, or the Egyptians, or any of the shadowy inhabits of the past.”

Among the classical sites one should see are The Acropolis and Delphi in Greece.
