Hellenic Seaways announced that it would be interested in establishing ferry routes from Izmir to the Greek islands and Thessaloniki, if there are the right conditions on the part of Turkish port authorities.

The company participated in an event organised in Izmir by the Northern Aegean Regional Authority and the local chamber of commerce, with support from the Greek consulate and the Greek National Tourism Organisation.

The event aimed at informing Turkish agencies about the prospects of offering visitors a comprehensive transport network covering regions in both Greece and Turkey.
