Some parts of Europe are without social media platforms

Users around the world are experiencing difficulty accessing social media app Instagram.

Those in mainland Europe seem to be hardest hit as well as a smattering of people in Eastern US.

Issues centre around posting to the news feed, seeing stories and loading content.

MailOnline has approached the firms for comment.
