The deputy head of the mission for the US embassy in Ukraine and members of the embassy team traveled to Lviv on Tuesday, State Department spokesman Ned Price stated.

Speaking to the State Department, Price said that the embassy team “met with officials from the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry”.

“Today’s trip was a first step towards more regular trips in the near future”, he said, noting that it is temporary at the moment.

“We are speeding up preparations for the resumption of the embassy work in Kyiv as soon as possible”, Price said.
