A strong earthquake occurred on Friday afternoon (29.07.2022) near Nafpaktos and was felt in many areas. The earthquake had a magnitude of 4.4 on the Richter scale and had an epicentre two kilometres northwest of Marathias Marathias Nafpaktia.

The tremor was felt in areas of Achaia, Aitoloakarnania, Phocis, and Corinthia. Its focal depth of the earthquake according to the Geodynamic Institute’s automatic solution was 12.4 kilometers.
