Anne Heche dead after brain injury – She was disconnected from mechanical support

"She will be remembered for her courageous honesty and dearly missed for her light"

Newsroom August 13 05:01

A week after the fatal car accident in which she “starred”, actress Anne Heche breathed her last at the age of 53.

The news of her death was announced by her family shortly before 9 pm on Friday, Greek time, and after Heche was disconnected from the mechanical support that was keeping her alive.

It is recalled that the actress’s doctors had informed her family that she would not survive.

“We want to thank everyone for their kind wishes and prayers for Anne’s recovery and thank the dedicated staff and wonderful nurses that cared for Anne at the Grossman Burn Center at West Hills hospital,” the family’s statement read.

“Anne had a huge heart and touched everyone she met with her generous spirit,” the rep said. “More than her extraordinary talent, she saw spreading kindness and joy as her life’s work — especially moving the needle for acceptance of who you love. She will be remembered for her courageous honesty and dearly missed for her light.”
