Newsroom November 29 11:07

“Turkey is once again on the agenda of neighbouring Greece. Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who in recent days has been constantly targeting Turkey with his scandalous statements, has once again taken aim at Ankara,” the publication notes.

The newspaper presents the answer of the Greek prime minister to the director of the Hellenic Observatory of the London School of Economics, Kevin Featherstone, on whether Turkey and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan are “in line” with the principles and values of the European Union, the prime minister replied: “It is very clear to me that the relationship of the European Union, not only Greece, with Turkey, has become much more complex in recent years. Turkey is pushing a revisionist agenda and projecting old-style imperial ambitions that are creating problems for all its neighbours, including Greece,” he said.

Hurriyet points out that the tension with Greece “hit” red, after the Greek Prime Minister’s statements to the US Congress, last May, about not approving the sale of F-16 aircraft to Turkey.
