Miltos Tentoglou “flies” at 8.41m recording world lead long jump in Poland

It is the second-best in his career

Miltos Tentoglou started his indoor track and field campaign in 2023 with the best attempt of the year, as he landed at 8.41m in a meeting in Poland. Apart from being the best this year in the world, it is also his second-best personal record.

The Greek champion, after claiming the first spot in Gothenburg a few days ago with a jump of 8.12m, won the Copernicus Cup in the city of Torun, Poland with a jump of 8.40 (beating the 8.21m of American Jeremiah Davis, while also taking the match record from Juan Miguel Echevarria which was 8.12m from 2019) and showed that he is on course to also break the pan-Hellenic indoor record that he has held since last year (with a performance of 8.55m that he did in Belgrade).
