Train collision – Pope Francis expresses condolences to the families of the victims

Pope Francis expressed his sorrow over the train accident in Greece and prays “for all those affected by this tragedy”, the Vatican announced.

“Entrusting the souls of the departed to the loving mercy of almighty God, the pope expresses his deepest condolences to the families who are grieving their loved ones,” Cardinal Minister of Foreign Affairs Pietro Parolin said in a statement.

Pope Francis sends his heartfelt condolences and prayers to those affected by the deadly train collision in #Greece, which claimed the lives of at least 36 people and injured over 85 others.

“To the injured, emergency service workers, and all those providing assistance, His Eminence sends his blessing for their commitment and solidarity.”
