A 3.6 earthquake on the Richter scale was felt over a large part of eastern Crete. According to the Geodynamic Institute of Athens, the epicentre was located 4 kilometres south of Arkalochori, with a focal depth of 8.4 kilometres. No damage has been reported so far.
