Sheep “get high” after eating 100kg of cannabis in Magnesia

The area had been hit by fires and floods

Newsroom September 21 10:35

A shepherd was surprised by the behaviour of his flock of sheep a few hours after he had taken them out to graze in an area of Magnesia.

According to TheNewspaper.gr, immediately after the natural disaster that hit the wider region of Thessaly, and while the grassland areas have suffered damage, a flock of sheep “invaded” a greenhouse outside Almyros Volos, which grows … medicinal cannabis and ate a large amount of the opiate plant, which exceeds 100 kilograms.

The owner was in despair when he found that his production had been badly damaged both by the severe weather event that flooded the land in the area and to cap it all off the livestock “got high” after eating his produce.

“I don’t know if it’s a laughing matter or a crying matter. We have the heatwave, we are losing a lot of production. We have the floods, we lose the rest. And the best part? After all of that, a flock of sheep came into the facility, and I don’t know how they got around and started eating what was left. I don’t know what to say, honestly,” says the owner of the licensed cannabis cultivation facility.
