Spanoulis: The medal is dedicated to all Greeks

Spanoulis: “The National Team doesn’t belong to Sloukas or Antetokounmpo — it belongs to all Greeks” – “Do you know many 23-year-olds who don’t want to play?” he said about Rogkavopoulos

The agreement between the ex-Olympiakos player, who is the current coach of Peristeri, and the President of the Greek Basketball Federation (EOK), Vangelis Liolios, was announced by the basketball federation on Monday afternoon.

Spanoulis will coach the team for the next two years. As highlighted in the announcement, the challenges of the Spanoulis era in national basketball are the Pre-Olympic Tournament in July 2024, and qualifying for the Paris Olympics, as well as the EuroBasket 2025 qualifiers, which begin earlier, aiming to be present in the final phase of the event.

The official presentation of Vassilis Spanoulis will take place tomorrow Tuesday (3/10) at 2 pm.
