Metropolitan Seraphim of Piraeus: Excommunicates the MPs who voted in favour of same-sex marriage

The thorough discussion that ensued led to the resolution

Newsroom February 22 06:14

An extraordinary clerical assembly convened today, February 22nd, at the Metropolis of Piraeus to discuss the consequences of the new on same-sex marriage and adoptions by gay couples.

The initiative was taken by His Eminence Metropolitan Seraphim of Piraeus, who also made the relevant proposal.

Issues related to the overthrow of human ontology and physiology through the implementation of the woke and gay agenda, which aims to deconstruct Christian doctrine, ethics, and culture, were raised by Him.

The thorough discussion that ensued led to a resolution, according to which, the MPs who voted to “legislate the overthrow of human ontology and physiology and institutionalize unnatural lewdness” are considered by the Church as enemies of the church.

For this reason, it was decided to suspend communion with those who voted against the divine law, meaning they will be excommunicated from the Church.

They will not be invited to participate in parish events until they demonstrate practical repentance, which will be evidenced by the repeal of the “abominable legislation” in Parliament.
