Kyriakos and Mareva Mitsotakis on the counterattack after Akrita’s post – “Why so many lies?”

Lawsuit and legal action against Akrita by Mareva Grabovski for slanderous libel - Hudacious and unprovoked the post, I will go as a witness in court to defend my wife, says the prime minister

Newsroom April 2 10:39

Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Mareva Mitsotaki-Grabovski take a hard line against what Maximou calls “smear attacks”, following the decision of the Prime Minister’s wife to go on the counterattack and file a lawsuit and a lawsuit against SYRIZA’s State MP Elena Akrita.

Since yesterday, protothema.gr had pointed out the willingness of the government staff, but also of Kyriakos Mitsotakis himself, not to let anything go down.

Politically, in the Maximou, they estimate that the wave of coordinated attacks “rallies” the ranks of the Southwest. On a personal level, however, the Prime Minister and the Prime Minister consider that red lines have been crossed, on the occasion of the Sunday publication of Hestia, on which Elena Akrita decided to overstate her position.

In her post, she accused Mrs Grabovski-Mitsotakis of “business” and left spikes about the opacity of her assets.

That said, and given Ms Akrita’s unwillingness to recant, the Prime Minister’s wife announced yesterday her intention to file both a lawsuit and a lawsuit against her.

In fact, the Maximou building called on SYRIZA MPs not to leave the MP out of the loop for the sake of immunity, with Mrs. Akrita signalling that she would agree to its lifting.

A few hours later, in a rather unusual action, Kyriakos Mitsotakis made a personal Facebook post last night defending his wife. “A deeply good and ethical man, with a completely autonomous professional path, was trampled and made headlines. Our family cohesion was tested. Many times we asked ourselves and our children whether it is worth paying this family price to be involved in public life,” the prime minister stressed, while he appeared willing to go to court as a witness with Elena Akrita as a witness. “Whoever wants to argue with me politically is free to do so. But let them finally leave my family out of the political conflict,” Mitsotakis also stressed.

Indicative of New Democracy’s decision to respond in a coordinated manner to these attacks is the barrage of posts on social networks by ministers and MPs of the prime minister’s statement on Facebook.

Premiere for the Maximou

Otherwise, as of today, a new phase is entering in the Maximou, following the completion of the internal reshuffle of forces yesterday, in the shadow of the Bratisakos-Papastavrou resignations.

Already since yesterday, Makis Voridis, who will have expanded responsibilities, with emphasis on the government’s legislative work, has been installed in the Maximou.

At the same time, the bundle of responsibilities of the other Minister of State Akis Skertsos, who will be in charge of strategic planning, is being strengthened. Vorides and Skertsos are de facto two super-ministers, while Skertsos is also assisted by Deputy Minister Thanasis Kontogeorgis.
