The Municipality of Athens is organising Easter activities for children and adults

Painting workshops, crafts, theatrical and visual arts education, museum educational programs, and performances are all part of the activities

Inspired by Greek customs and the solemn setting of Holy Week, the Municipality of Athens invites children and adults to participate in Easter activities organised by the Culture, Sports, & Youth Organisation of the Municipality of Athens  that will take place between April 20th to May 1st, 2024, at various cultural venues across the city with free entrance.

The Art Gallery, the Center of Arts, the Museum of Popular Art and Tradition “Aggeliki Chatzimichali,” the Digital Museum of Plato’s Academy, the Cultural Center “Melina,” the Creative Learning Centers, the Clay Center, and the Municipal Market of Kypseli welcome children and their parents to engage in painting workshops, crafts, theater and visual education, museum educational programs, and Easter activities combining tradition with creativity and play. They will also have the opportunity to learn about the art of clay and ceramics.

For adults there will be a program with Fotis Kontoglou where he will paint his conception of the Resurrection. There will also be the opportunity to attend the theatrical performance “LASPI”  a play that is based on the work of Greek and foreign poets, by the theater group A-TALANTOI.
