Strike protests organised by GSEE, ADEDY, and PAME concluded shortly before one-thirty in the afternoon, while the mandatory May Day holiday was moved to Tuesday after Easter by ministerial decree. Workers in public transportation are also participating in strike mobilisations.

Among other demands, workers are calling for collective agreements with real wage increases, permanent contracts to fill all vacant positions, and the abolition of all anti-labor provisions.

With the end of the protests  the following routes will reopen: Panepistimiou, Stadiou, Vasileos Sofias from Sekeri, and Syggrou Avenue from Athanasiou Diakou. Meanwhile, protesters threw red paint at the fountain in Syntagma Square.
