Crete: Dead body of a man found in the sea area of Rethymnon

The body of the man, of unknown origin, was recovered by a Coast Guard patrol boat and transferred to the Rethymnon General Hospital in Rethymno

In front of a gruesome sight were citizens on Saturday, in the marine area of Geropotamos, the municipality of Mylopotamos, in Rethymno.

According to what was announced by the Coast Guard, which was immediately informed, it is a man’s body, in advanced decomposition.

The body of the man, unknown other elements, was recovered by a patrol boat L.S.-EΛ.AKT., with the assistance of leased marine recreational facilities and transferred to the General Hospital of Rethymnon, for the conduct of autopsy-necropsy.

Preliminary investigation is carried out by the Rethymnon Port Authority.
