European Elections: New Democracy on a path to repeat 2019 – Question of non-participants

The Prime Minister's upcoming visits scheduled for Pieria, Imathia, and Pella

Newsroom May 16 09:04

The latest wave of polls confirms New Democracy is making good progress to repeat its 2019 European elections percentage while SYRIZA appears to have secured second place, and PASOK third.

According to MRB’s survey for OPEN, the party percentages are as follows: ND: 32.3%, SYRIZA: 16%, PASOK: 14%, KKE: 8%, Greek Solution (Elliniki Lysi): 9.9%, Victory (Niki): 2.9%, Movement of Freedom (Eleftheria Plevsis): 3.4%, New Left (Nea Aristera): 3.8%, Voice of Reason (Foni Logikis): 2.8%, Democrats: 2.4%, MeRA25: 2.2%. ND scales from 30% to 35%, SYRIZA from 14% to 18%, and PASOK from 12% to 16%.

According to sources from protothema.gr and alternative surveys, New Democracy is roughly at the afore mentioned  percentage. Polling findings align with the government leaving nothing to chance. This morning the PM will give an interview to SKAI, in the afternoon Mr. Mitsotakis will head to Pieria, followed by Imathia and Pella. Saturday, he will be on ERT, and then visit a central café in Vrilissia.

Competent government officials stress New Democracy is not reclining on its polling numbers given the benchmark set by Kyriakos Mitsotakis. This comes following the uncertainty of those non-participants where predictions indicate a low percentage in non turnout.  Speculatively, parties with a sound electoral base can mobilize their voters. New Democracy’s campaign will be covering territories to safeguard comprehensive coverage.
