A bidding competition for the simple use of beachfront and public beaches in Mykonos, Paros, Milos, and Naxos has seen offers soar to nearly 1 million euros

Mykonos Beach Use Bidding Reaches Nearly 1 Million Euros

In a recent electronic auction conducted by the Ministry of National Economy and Finance, significant bids were placed for the simple use of beachfront and public beaches in Mykonos, Paros, Milos, and Naxos. The auction showcased the high demand and value of these prime coastal areas.

Mykonos Highlights

Two beaches in Mykonos saw bids soar to remarkable heights. One section of Kalo Livadi beach, spanning 500 sq.m., had a starting price of 120,000 euros. The highest bid, from RED SEA MONOPROSSOPI I.K.E., reached an impressive 890,400 euros. Another part of Kalo Livadi, also 500 sq.m., fetched a top bid of 926,400 euros from VAQUEROS E.E., significantly above the starting price.

In Agia Anna, a 500 sq.m. section intended for umbrella and sunbed rentals saw its starting price of 60,000 euros rise to 110,400 euros, thanks to TECHNICAL COMPANY HOTEL TOURISM ENTERPRISES CHANIOTIS S.A. Similarly, a 300 sq.m. section of Lia beach started at 72,000 euros but achieved a final bid of 292,320 euros from EPISITISTIKI XENODOCHIAKI TURISTIKI LIASTI S.A.

Paros Bidding

On the island of Paros, the beach at Krios saw more modest activity. A 499.65 sq.m. section began at 44,968.50 euros, matched exactly by NOTION ANAPTYXI AKINITON A. E. Another 251.20 sq.m. area started and ended at 22,608 euros, bid by MYHO MONOPROSSOPI I.K.E.

At the Golden Coast, a 300 sq.m. section achieved its starting bid of 27,000 euros, offered by KYKLADES TOURIST SERVICES E.E. A similar section also saw a 27,000 euro bid from RAGKOUSSI ANTONIA KE SIA O.E.

Milos and Naxos Highlights

Milos saw competitive bidding, particularly for a section of Firiplaka beach. Starting at 25,300 euros, the final bid skyrocketed to 505,747 euros, made by ARREBOL MONOPROSOPI PRIVATE EQUIPMENT COMPANY. Another section in Achivadolimni started at 16,620 euros and ended at 51,051 euros with the same company winning the bid.

In Naxos, Plaka Beach saw consistent interest. A 424.36 sq.m. section started and ended at 39,889.84 euros, bid by TH. SOURMELI I.MAGIOROS O.E. Another 500 sq.m. section fetched 47,000 euros, and a 304.51 sq.m. area started and ended at 28,623.94 euros, both awarded to TH.SOURMELI I.MAGIOROS O.E.

Conclusion

These concessions extend until December 31, 2025, offering successful bidders ample time to capitalize on their investments. The high bids reflect these stunning Greek beaches’ premium value and desirability, promising exciting developments in these picturesque coastal areas.
