Homemade zucchini chips with sea salt and vinegar

perfect homemade summer chips

Newsroom June 18 06:08

Ingredients:

200 g sliced pumpkin (about 50 slices)
1 tablespoon of malt vinegar
1 ½ tsp olive oil
⅛ tbsp sea salt

Tips: The secret to perfect homemade chips is the mandolin. In addition to zucchini, you can use the same recipe to make chips from eggplant, carrot, sweet potato and beetroot!
For this recipe, malt vinegar (made from barley) is recommended, which is made from fermented beer. This process gives it a light sweetness. However, if you prefer more intense flavours, you can substitute apple cider vinegar or white vinegar.

Light and crunchy, these homemade chips are a worthy rival to the unhealthy and unpalatable chips from the stand.

Process

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 100 degrees.

Step 2
Place the zucchini, vinegar and olive oil in a bowl. Mix the ingredients well and let the mixture rest for 10 minutes.

on parchment paper. Season evenly with salt.

Step 4
Bake at 100 degrees for two to two and a half hours, until the chips are completely dry, crispy and golden. Halfway through baking, it’s important to flip them over. After removing them from the oven, let them cool.

Step 5
And your favourite crunchy snack is ready for quick consumption!
