Newsroom July 1 12:12

With references to the issue of wildfires, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis began his introductory remarks at the Cabinet meeting.

“As he said,” today’s meeting is taking place amid the battle with wildfires that are testing the country. The state is gentle in hundreds of centers across the country.”

“We had a difficult June with drought and high winds,” he noted.

The Prime Minister thanked all those who are fighting wildfires, saying, “I thank all frontline staff for their outstanding work, but I also draw attention to a summer that is predicted to be very dangerous.”

This battle will last, as he said, and it will not be won without the participation of citizens and in the field of prevention.

“The challenges are still ahead of us, and this imposes the best possible coordination,” stressed Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
