Güler to Georgiadis on F-35: We are expecting 60 million tourists, the Greek minister is also welcome

Earlier, the Turkish Minister of Health had stated, "I hear these 'one night suddenly' remarks and I laugh"

Outrage has been stirred in the neighboring country by Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis’s statement that “with the F-35s, we can suddenly go to Türkiye one night.”

Turkish Defense Minister Yaşar Güler, responding to Georgiadis’s remark, answered journalists’ questions today before the AK Party group’s session in the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye When asked to comment on the above statement, Yaşar Güler replied, “60 million tourists come to Türkiye year, we are expecting them. We are also expecting the Greek minister for a tourist trip…”

On Monday, the Health Minister, in an interview with Open TV, a few days after the Turkish Ministry of National Defense published a video featuring Ankara’s old narrative about coming suddenly one night, stated, “By purchasing F-35s, we become tougher; by purchasing frigates, we become tougher. By purchasing Viper F-16s and forming defense alliances with America and France, we become tougher. We don’t become tougher from a tweet, but when the opponent realizes that we are no longer easy targets. I hear these ‘one night suddenly’ remarks and I laugh. With the F-35s, we can suddenly go to Turkey one night. Did you see what happened in Yemen? If you have F-35s that radar can’t detect, you can suddenly be in Ankara one night and cause destruction. I’m not saying we would do such a thing, because we don’t want to, but when Erdoğan says it, I laugh. With what will you come one night to Greece? With the junk you have? Everyone knows that Türkiye is zero in aviation, during Mitsotakis’s five-year term.”
