Paris: What the Cameras Didn’t Show, Karalis Revealed on TikTok – Video from the Boat Carrying the Greek Athletes

The Greek delegation made its traditional entrance at the Olympic Games opening ceremony with flag bearers Giannis Antetokounmpo and Antigoni Drisbioti.

Through TikTok, Emmanouil Karalis shares moments from the Greek athletes’ days in Paris. In the footage he uploaded after the ceremony, he shows what happened before they boarded the boat that carried them along the Seine, capturing both humorous and awe-inspiring moments, as emphasized in his post by the pole vaulter.

Initially, the camera is held by Antigoni Drisbioti, who captures the team’s excitement as they put on their official uniforms for the occasion. This is followed by humorous shots inside the bus that took them to the boat. Finally, Karalis’ TikTok video shows the athletes’ perspective from inside the boat, describing it as “Emotional and awe-inspiring.”

The day before, Karalis showed his over one million followers how he and the other athletes spent their day in Paris.

In a clip starting from his bed as he wakes up, he tells his TikTok friends: “Hello everyone, I’m Manolo and this is the Olympic vlog,” in his post from Thursday, July 25.

Next, the national pole vault record holder shows where the athletes have breakfast and then captures their training stadium with his phone camera. Among other things, he recorded moments from Miltiadis Tentoglou’s training as well as his own. The clip also includes playful banter between the athletes.

In his TikTok posts, Emmanouil Karalis also shared a video showing his father and physiotherapist helping with the athletes’ preparation and transporting poles. After training, they all had a meal together and took advantage of their free time with a stroll around the city, before returning to their hotel for some rest.
