Athens-Corinthos Highway: The road to Athens is closed – The removal of the tanker that caught fire is in progress

The current of the Athens-Corinthos national road to Athens remains closed after the fire caused earlier in a 20-ton tanker that overturned at Kinetta.

As shown in the video and photos of protothema.gr after the fire was extinguished, the operation to remove the tanker is underway, while then the roadway will have to be cleared, procedures for which it is estimated that it will take some time.

The work will take some time to complete.

The overturning of the tanker closed for a few minutes both streams of the National Highway for a few minutes after the fire was extinguished shortly before 11 a.m., opening the stream to Corinth

The driver of the tanker was taken to Corinth Hospital. The driver is, according to information from police so far, out of danger.
