A total of 23 agroforestry fires have occurred in the last 24 hours across the country. Of these, the Fire Department says 19 were dealt with immediately, at their initial stage, while firefighters are still dealing with four more.

The local investigating agencies, as well as teams of the Arson Investigation Department (ICD), are investigating the causes of the fires.

Finally, the Fire Brigade calls on all citizens to be particularly careful and in case of fire, for their safety, to follow the instructions of the competent authorities.
