Newsroom August 29 08:33

The journey of the new Champions League for the 2024-25 season began in Monaco, where the draw took place on Thursday afternoon with the presence of top scorer Cristiano Ronaldo and the legend Gianluigi Buffon.

The new Champions League will no longer feature group stages but a single league and a common ranking for all 36 teams. Each team will be drawn with 8 other teams and will play 4 home games and 4 away games.

The League phase starts on September 17 and ends on January 29. The knockout phase will follow the playoffs for the round of 16 and then the traditional knockout stages as known from the previous group stage format.
