Former Prime Minister Kostas Simitis stressed that opportunities are not endless and that the progressive world is looking for a way to hope again. Former Prime Minister George Papandreou called for unity to create a dynamic restart for the country. He stressed that PASOK must once again become a driving force for change and not just a better manager of the status quo.

Evangelos Venizelos, another former leader, proposed updating the party’s founding declaration to reflect today’s challenges. He emphasized that PASOK should focus on presenting a new social contract and a comprehensive plan for the country, without fear of specific reactions or trying to maintain neutral stances.
