Mitsotakis at the Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF): 14 key points for boosting incomes, supporting doctors, families, and freelancers

"Greece 2027 - Faster, Fairer, More Efficient" will be the central theme of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis' speech today (7:30 PM) at the 88th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF), where he will outline the government's strategic roadmap

Newsroom September 7 09:44

Mitsotakis will present the goals for the 2023-2027 term, with a focus on supporting a broad range of social groups and improving everyday conditions while keeping within the fiscal limits set by the European Union’s new budget framework.

The speech will emphasize long-term objectives for 2027, the next election year. He is expected to address the critics of “second-term reform fatigue” and argue that recent achievements since the 2023 elections are part of a continuum from his first term.

  8. Fairer distribution of social benefits.
  9. Investment in public education.
  10. Protection of tourism and infrastructure improvements.
  11. Disaster protection measures.
  12. Boosting investment, growth, and innovation.
  13. A national strategy for manufacturing.
  14. Strengthening competition in the banking sector.

Mitsotakis will reiterate major goals, including:

  • Raising the minimum wage to €950 and the average wage to €1,500.
  • Bolstering national defense with Rafale, F-35, and Belharra.
  • Enhancing public transport.
  • Digitalization of education.
