Stefanos Kasselakis: Begins Round of Consultations, Weighing Options Between SYRIZA and New Party

Kasselakis urges his team to stay alert as he evaluates whether to run for SYRIZA leader again or to establish a new political party

Newsroom September 11 07:32

Stefanos Kasselakis has issued a call for heightened vigilance within his political machinery today, having commenced a series of meetings with his close associates. This move follows the finalization of the roadmap for electing a new SYRIZA President and the evolving alliances and dynamics within the Political Secretariat. Kasselakis appears to be responding to the new developments within the party.

The former President of SYRIZA Progressive Alliance (SYRIZA-PS) is not considering stepping away from politics or returning to the United States. Instead, he is weighing all options for his next move, whether to re-candidacy for the SYRIZA presidency or to establish a new political party.

Today, Kasselakis has called for his entire network—including officials and members from local organizations, member groups, and think tanks—to stay on high alert. However, he has yet to disclose which path he will choose in the near future, keeping his plans closely guarded.
