A fatal traffic accident took place early this morning on Poseidonos Avenue.

According to reports, the accident happened when a car, traveling at high speed, crashed into another vehicle heading from Piraeus to Voula.

The same sources state that the driver of the first vehicle lost control, causing the car to veer to the right, hit a tree, and then crash into a parked vehicle. At the same time, the second vehicle veered left and struck a streetlight pole.

Reports indicate that the unfortunate driver was a 52-year-old man. The driver of the second vehicle was injured and taken to the General State Hospital of Nikaia.

The traffic police are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
