Mr. Samaras, who accepted the invitation to the event, in addition to receiving the award, will also give a short address.

This year the award is presented to all women of Cyprus, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the invasion and occupation.

According to the rationale for this year’s award, “those great women who unfortunately to this day are experiencing the consequences of the Turkish invasion and occupation are being honored. That is, our deserving mothers and grandmothers.”
