Traffic delays over 30 minutes on Attiki Odos as October 28th weekend getaway begins

Increased police measures have been implemented to manage traffic for the October 28th holiday weekend, with favorable weather aiding the exodus of travelers.

As of midday, traffic has intensified, especially with holidaymakers starting their journey out of the city. In response, traffic police measures have increased around major urban exits today and tomorrow, along with a traffic ban on trucks over 3.5 tons.

Delays on Attiki Odos exceed 30 minutes, with heavy vehicle traffic on national highways as well. Specifically, delays are recorded in the direction towards Elefsina, with over 30-minute delays from the Kantza junction to the Metamorfosi junction.

Further delays of 25-30 minutes are also reported on the Ymittos Ring Road from the Agia Paraskevi junction to the Metamorfosi junction. There are additional delays of 10-15 minutes at the Lamia exits, both toward the airport and toward Elefsina.
