Bolivia: Assassination attempt against Evo Morales – 14 bullets gassed his car (videos)

The former president of Bolivia, Evo Morales, has been attacked by gunmen. The former Bolivian president’s motorcade was shot 18 times.

The armed attack occurred while he was on his way to give a radio interview in the city of Cochabamba. Evo Morales escaped unharmed, but his driver was slightly wounded in the neck.

“The car I arrived in has 14 bullet holes,” Morales said, adding: “This was planned. The idea was to kill Evo.”

According to Morales’ statement to a radio station, the pursuit of his car by two vehicles carrying the gunmen occurred at 6:25 a.m. local time.

A video broadcast on social media shows a woman urging Morales to duck and asking the driver to “hurry up.”
