Ministry of Education: Announced 400 appointments of substitute teachers for primary and secondary education

The appointments pertain to Special Education as well as General Education

The Ministry of Education, Religion, and Sports announced the hiring of 400 educators for Primary and Secondary Education, in Special Education and General Education, as temporary substitutes, under a Fixed-Term Private Law employment relationship, for the academic year 2024-2025, based on a Special Announcement for filling functional vacancies [Article 86 of Law 4547/2018 (A’ 102), as in force].

For the academic year 2024-2025, the Ministry announced that temporary substitutes will be hired according to the announcement number 130256/E1/31-10-2024 (ADA: Ψ3Ξ046ΝΚΠΔ-ΓΩΡ) regarding the coverage of functional vacancies [Article 86 of Law 4547/2018 (A’ 102), as in force]:

In Primary Education:

a) 65 teachers in Special Education (EA)

b) 161 teachers in General Education

The hired teachers must report and assume their duties from Wednesday, November 6, to Thursday, November 7, 2024, directly at their appointed school unit. If they are assigned to more than one school unit, they will take up their duties at the school where they will provide the most teaching hours.
