Video: Ukraine launched its largest drone attack on Moscow so far – Flight restrictions at two airports

More than 32 drones targeted the Russian capital and its outskirts – One reported injury as videos show homes and cars engulfed in flames

Early Sunday morning, Ukraine launched at least 32 drones aimed at Moscow and its surrounding areas, prompting Russian authorities to temporarily close two of the capital’s airports, according to Russian officials. This marks the largest Ukrainian drone attack on Moscow to date.

Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin stated that 12 drones were destroyed in the Ramenskoye and Kolomensky districts of the Moscow region, as well as in the city of Domodedovo, southwest of Moscow.

Heavy drone attacks are reported in Moscow and Moscow Oblast. Videos show one drone being shot down.

Moscow region Governor Andrey Vorobyov reported one injury from the Ukrainian drone attack. Videos circulating online show houses and vehicles on fire.

The Ramenskoye district, located about 45 kilometers southeast of the Kremlin, was last targeted in September during Ukraine’s largest drone attack on the Russian capital. Russian air defense units destroyed 20 unmanned aircraft.
