EFET, specifically its Regional Directorate of Central Macedonia, confirmed during an investigation of complaints that small white plastic foreign objects were found in the following products, sold under the brand name “ROYAL SUGAR” in 1kg paper packages:

  1. White Crystalline Sugar
    • Packaging dates: 19-08-2024, 26-08-2024, 27-08-2024, 31-08-2024
  2. Brown Cane Sugar
    • Packaging dates: 30-08-2024, 03-09-2024, 03-10-2024, 23-10-2024

EFET has called for the immediate recall of these batches and is urging consumers who have purchased the affected products not to consume them. Investigations and inspections are ongoing to ensure the safety and quality of food products on the market.

For those who have purchased the recalled sugar, it is recommended to contact the retailer or dispose of the product to avoid potential harm.
