Selfies, wishes, and tsikoudia at the festive meeting of Mitsotakis with New Democracy MPs – See photos

111 MPs who are not part of the government attended at Maximos Mansion – Relaxed atmosphere and satisfaction after the approval of the budget and the Prime Minister's announcements

Newsroom December 17 02:49

The atmosphere was festive today at the Maximos Mansion, where, two days after the approval of the budget in Parliament, Kyriakos Mitsotakis invited New Democracy MPs who are not members of the government for a “relaxed wine” ahead of the holidays.

The MPs were welcomed into the large hall of the government headquarters, which rarely opens for such occasions.

The mood was quite warm between the Prime Minister and the MPs, with whom he discussed the government’s next objectives.

Experienced MPs say the atmosphere was noticeably better and there is once again a sense of unity within the Parliamentary Group, after a period of intense tension.

Obviously, the budget, the announcements, and the implementation of MPs’ interventions played a role in changing the mood.

The meeting included selfies and Christmas wishes. The atmosphere was relaxed, with the Prime Minister moving from group to group, chatting, while especially the younger MPs took photos.

The menu included burgers, souvlaki, wines, and tsikoudia (traditional Cretan spirit).

A total of 111 MPs were invited to the Maximos Mansion, with the practical arrangements handled by the Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister, Giorgos Mylonakis, and the Secretary of the Parliamentary Group, Stavros Kalafatis.
