The Holy Metropolis of Nea Ionia, Heraklion and Chalkidonos offered a large quantity of “Packages of Love” through the solidarity network of its social and charitable structures to economically challenged citizens.

More specifically, on Monday 16 and Tuesday 17 December 2024, His Eminence, His Eminence Metropolitan Mr. Gabriel, accompanied by clergy and volunteers of the social work of the Holy Metropolis, went to the Holy Metropolitan Church of Agion Anargyroi Nea Ionia and Agia Euphemia Nea Chalkidonos respectively, and offered “Bonds of Love”, with a significant amount of food and other necessities to more than 500 families, given Christmas.

This important offer could not have been realized without the generous sponsorship of the General Charity Fund of the Holy Metropolis, the Minister of Health Mr. Adonis Georgiadis, the President of the “Sklavenitis” Group Mr. Maria Sklavenitis, the President of the Electra Palace Group Mr. Gerasimos Fokas, the General Manager of Aegean Baltic Bank Mr. Theodoros Afthonidis, the Regional Councillor of the Central Sector of Athens Mr. Rita Moraitaki, the Parents’ Associations of Athens College, the Managing Director of the Central Market and Fisheries Organization (OCAA) Mr. Apostolos Apostolakos, the Agricultural Poultry Cooperative of Ioannina “Pindos”, the members of “All Together We Can”, Mr. Konstantinos Tasoulas (Getfoods Ltd) and Mr. Anastasios Kiulpapa.
