An 18-year-old was arrested for a violent altercation at a dining establishment on Christmas Eve in Chania. The young man is accused of causing bodily harm to two 20-year-olds.

Police Announcement:

“An 18-year-old local was arrested last night (25.12.2024) in Chania by officers of the Immediate Action Unit of Chania, accused of causing bodily harm to two 20-year-old locals. Specifically, as reported, on the night of 24.12.2024 at a public establishment, unknown individuals inflicted bodily harm on two 20-year-old locals. Following a police investigation and preliminary inquiry by the Chania Police Department, it was revealed that the 18-year-old was one of the perpetrators. He was located and arrested last night (25.12.2024) by officers of the aforementioned unit. The preliminary investigation is being conducted by the Chania Police Department.”

Chania: Violent Brawl at Party in the Port

The incident occurred shortly after 10:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve during a party held at a bar in the Venetian Harbor. Two groups of young people started arguing, but the situation escalated, and some individuals ended up physically fighting.
