The hospital “Red Cross” provided updates on the health condition of 83-year-old former Panathinaikos and Greek National Team football player, Mimis Domazos, who suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon, on his birthday.

According to the announcement, Domazos was transported to the hospital without a pulse or cardiac electrical activity. The former football player responded to cardiopulmonary resuscitation and is now intubated and in critical condition.

“We inform you that today, on 22/01/2025 at 11:37 a.m., Mr. Mimis Domazos, the well-known former football player, was transported by EKAV to the Cardiology Emergency Department of the General Hospital of Athens ‘Korgialenio-Benakeio’ of the Hellenic Red Cross, following an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest, without a pulse or cardiac electrical activity.

Advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation was performed, and the patient responded. He remains intubated and is undergoing a complete clinical and laboratory evaluation.
