Kevin Costner’s ex-wife, Christine Baumgartner, has gotten engaged to her boyfriend of one year, Josh Connor, who just so happens to be a former friend of the Hollywood star.

The 50-year-old said “yes” to Connor’s proposal on a Santa Barbara, California beach on January 26—less than a year after finalizing her divorce from Costner.

“It was about to rain, so there was hardly anyone else on the beach when Josh got down on one knee,” a source close to the couple told People magazine on Wednesday, January 29.

Those who know the couple weren’t surprised by the proposal, with the source noting: “They spent Christmas together in New York last month, which is where it all really began. They’re both excited and happy about their future together.”

Back in December, The Post published photos of Baumgartner and her soon-to-be husband, a financier, at a restaurant in West Village. The couple was all smiles as Connor held an umbrella over his girlfriend’s head to shield her from the rain.

Connor has an interesting history with the 70-year-old Costner and Baumgartner, as he was their neighbor while they were still married and somehow got caught up in their bitter divorce battle.

The handbag designer filed for divorce from the Yellowstone actor in May 2023 after 18 years of marriage, listing their separation date as April 11 of the same year.

Baumgartner was first spotted with Connor during a trip to Hawaii in July 2023, where Costner’s children—17-year-old Cayden, 15-year-old Hayes, and 15-year-old Grace—were also present.

In August 2023, during a court hearing regarding child support, Baumgartner’s attorney insisted that she and Connor were “just friends and nothing more.”

However, Costner’s then-estranged wife was later photographed holding hands with Connor just a few months after that statement. A friend confirmed that they had officially started dating in January 2024.
