Tempi: The student protest is underway in Athens – Demonstrations across the country

Students, university students, and educators have taken to the streets across the country today, as mass rallies are being held with the main demand for justice to be served for the Tempi tragedy, under the slogan “I have no more oxygen.”

The nationwide education protest, demanding justice for the Tempi tragedy, is taking place in downtown Athens. A large number of students, university students, and educators have turned out, while more people continue to arrive.

The student-university march is reaching Syntagma

The “head” of the march is now outside Parliament.

The police have implemented traffic regulations in downtown Athens due to the demonstrations, which include marches by student and university organizations that will conclude at Syntagma Square.

According to the Traffic Police, vehicle circulation has been halted on Panepistimiou Street from Amerikis Street onwards. Stadiou Street is also closed.

The student and university march for Tempi is heading toward Omonia (07-02-25)

In Thessaloniki, the gathering was set for 12:00. Educators are participating with a three-hour work stoppage until 14:00, while the Syntagma and Panepistimio metro stations in downtown Athens remain closed. In Thessaloniki, the OSE metro station is also closed until 15:00.
