Vehicle traffic was interrupted on Tsamadou Street, from the height of Dimitriou Gounari Street, in the Piraeus area, due to a check carried out by a team of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Department (TEEM).

The check is being carried out at a bank branch, after a call about a bomb.

Authorities have cordoned off the area for security reasons, and the timeline for completing the operation is not yet known.

Drivers are advised to take alternative routes and comply with the instructions of police forces.
