The Carnival of Patra reaches its climax with Sunday’s grand parade.

Thousands of carnival goers put on their carnival costumes again and pour into the city center.

At the forefront of the parade was the Municipal Band of Patras, playing carnival rhythms. Immediately following were the carnival floats, created at the municipality’s carnival workshop, as well as the floral float carrying the “queen,” Eleni Bada, surrounded by 30,000 carnations.

Next, thousands of carnival-goers, members of the “Hidden Treasure” crews, will parade, while 30 crews will be accompanied by their own floats or large wheeled structures.
