Weather: The temperature rises further today, clear skies throughout the country on Thursday

The temperature will show up to 20 degrees in Crete, Dodecanese and areas of the mainland

The weather will be almost spring-like across Greece on Thursday, with clear skies and temperatures reaching up to 20 degrees Celsius in places. The picture will even improve on Friday and over the weekend, and from the week we will enter a prolonged period of summer, with the thermometer rising further.

Winds will die down today, Thursday, and only locally in the sea will reach up to 7 Beaufort.

As for the temperature, in most areas it will be 17 to 18 degrees Celsius and locally in the mainland, Crete and the Dodecanese 19 to 20 degrees Celsius.

In Athens the weather will be generally clear with temperatures ranging from 7 to 19 degrees Celsius. The weather in Thessaloniki will be similar with temperatures ranging from 4 to 18 degrees Celsius.

Generally clear weather throughout the country.

Winds will blow, in the west and north variable 2 to 3 and locally northeastern 4 Beaufort, in the rest of the country from the north 4 to 6 and locally in the central and southern Aegean up to 7 Beaufort.

The temperature will rise. It will reach in most areas 17 to 18 and locally in the mainland, Crete and the Dodecanese 19 to 20 degrees Celsius. In the early morning hours there will be local frost in the northwestern mainland.

Friday forecast

From midday hours in the Ionian Sea and gradually in the mainland and Crete, thin clouds, sometimes more dense.
Winds in the west will be variable up to 3 Beaufort, in the east will blow from northerly directions 3 to 5 and in the Aegean Sea locally up to 6 Beaufort.
The temperature will rise slightly further. It will reach 18 to 19 degrees Celsius in most areas and 20 to 21 degrees Celsius locally in the mainland and the Dodecanese.

Forecast for Saturday

Partly cloudy and sporadically thicker at first in the Ionian Sea, the western mainland and gradually in the rest of the mainland, the Aegean islands and Crete.

Winds in the west will be variable up to 3 Beaufort, in the east will blow from the north 3 to 4, in the Aegean locally 5 and in the morning in the north up to 6 Beaufort. The temperature will drop slightly.

Weather forecast for Sunday

Generally clear weather with scattered clouds in the east until midday. In the morning and evening hours visibility will be locally limited mainly in the west.

Winds will be variable 2 to 4 Beaufort, while in the Aegean Sea the winds will blow from northern directions 3 to 4, occasionally in the northeast 5 Beaufort.
The temperature will not change significantly.
